An epic rock musical is coming to Australia, bringing with it a horde of flesh-eating zombies!
Based on the cult classic horror film, this horror musical boasts a witty and terrifying script and a phenomenal rock score played by our live band!
Following the raging success of ‘Evil Dead: The Musical’, director Yasmin Elahi is back with another fantastic horror rock musical.
We are looking for a cast of talented actors who are VERY strong singers, with a rock flavour. This show is faced paced and intense, with actors playing multiple roles and tacking power ballad after power ballad.
This production will contain violence, blood, coarse language, sexual references and horror themes. Most roles require intimacy.
This is a profit-share production. More information will be provided in the audition regarding this.

ROLE DESCRIPTIONS
(please note the ages are indicative of character age)
BEN (30s)
Smooth, heroic, sexy with action movie swagger, he is cocky but loveable. Also plays the role of Adda Morgue - a perky female reporter.
Vocal range: Tenor | D3 to Bb4
JOHNNY (20s-30s)
Barbara’s wise-cracking older brother. Also plays the roles of Tom - the innocent teen boyfriend of Judy, and Dan the Science Man.
Vocal range: High Tenor | C3 to B4
HARRY (40s-50s)
Grumpy Archie Bunker-type father to Betty-Lou and husband to Helen. Also plays the role of Sherrif Tractor - a wild Southern sheriff, think sexy Yosemite Sam.
Vocal range: Lyric Baritone or Tenor | Bb3 to A4
BARBARBA (20s-30s)
Strait-laced and polite, her cheeky disposition soon gives way to terror. Also plays the role of Dr Gretchen - a German medical examiner.
Vocal range Soprano/Belt to E | A4 to E5
JUDY (20s)
A cheerful young hippy and girlfriend to Tom. Also plays the roles of Betty-Lou -Harry and Helen’s adorable 10-year-old daughter, Robin Graves - an overly cheerful radio announcer and Dr Greishen -a German medical examiner.
Vocal range: Mezzo/Belt to D | G3 to D5
HELEN (40s-50s)
Loud, drunk wife to Harry, mother to Betty-Lou. Also plays the role of Holden D’Seance - a no-nonsense newscaster.
Vocal range: Mezzo | G3 to Bb4
AUDITION INFORMATION
We will email you a timeslot for a vocal audition, as well as a group dance call.
Please prepare two 1-minute cuts of musical theatre songs in the style of the character you are auditioning for. Preferably songs with a rock flavour and performed in a standard American accent.
Callbacks will be held on Thursday 31st July from 7.00pm. Auditionees will be emailed by Sunday night if they are required to attend a callback.

Wednesday evenings, Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons from August to November. Rehearsals and performances will take place at EvilCorp Horror Maze.
